GNE 2025 Wrap-Up Issue

Dear Mplify Member,

Thank you to everyone who joined us in Dallas for GNE 2025. This year’s event brought together leaders from across the global ecosystem to explore how NaaS is powering the automated network supply chain for Agentic AI.

In this GNE wrap-up edition of The Mplifier, we’re sharing the top insights, standout themes, and major trends shaping the future of intelligent connectivity. Recordings, presentations, and resources are now available to help you carry the momentum forward. Explore GNE Recordings & Materials →

GNE 2025 HIGHLIGHTS

Key Insight: The core GNE 2025 message was clear: service providers not repositioning around NaaS for AI or advancing AIOps need to reassess their strategy. Generative AI allowed some room to coast; agentic AI does not.

NaaS emerges as the backbone of Agentic AI

Leaders positioned NaaS as the automated network supply chain supporting continuous reasoning across distributed environments uniting connectivity, lifecycle automation, cybersecurity, and AI-driven services.

The network is now the bottleneck for AI infrastructure

Networking is becoming the decisive constraint on AI growth. As AI traffic surges, deterministic performance and programmable, automated connectivity are essential to realizing ROI on AI infrastructure investments.

Agentic AI is accelerating bandwidth and performance needs

Always-on, interactive AI traffic is pushing providers to rethink network architectures that support persistent state, rapid coordination, and distributed intelligence.

AIOps is transforming how networks operate

Providers demonstrated advances in prediction, correlation, diagnostics, and progress toward self-healing and intent-driven operations.

Programmable, deterministic AI fabrics are essential

Experts emphasized the need for programmable Carrier Ethernet and 400G–1.6T wavelengths that connect clouds, edges, and AI clusters with consistent, on-demand performance.

Automation must span the entire lifecycle

End-to-end automation — ordering, activation, assurance, modification, and trouble resolution — is required to support high-velocity service delivery.

LSO APIs and standardized payloads are critical for interoperability

The ecosystem aligned on implementing standardized LSO APIs, payloads, and processes to enable consistent business and operational automation.

The Enterprise Leadership Council reinforced this as a global priority.

MCP is emerging as an integration layer for intelligent networking

Model Context Protocol (MCP) is enabling AI agents to securely access tools, data, and network resources, powering new cross-domain automation opportunities.

Federation and marketplace models are gaining momentum

Federated architectures and pluggable payloads are unlocking global marketplaces that expand service reach and simplify multi-provider coordination.

Certification is becoming the trust signal for AI infrastructure

Automation, performance validation, and cybersecurity are now core indicators of AI readiness. Mplify’s new Carrier Ethernet for AI certification will validate service performance for demanding AI workloads.

Sovereign AI and Zero Trust are rising priorities

Organizations emphasized dynamic trust frameworks, Zero Trust, SASE, and quantum-safe capabilities to secure next-generation AI ecosystems.
